MDBridge Component: Tutorial and Guidance

Component MDBridge is a Joomla Component using to connect data from and to Joomla and HPbb Webboard. So, data of both systems can be shared and used together. To use MDBridge , you must first download MDBridge to install in Joomla before you can use it.You can download and read more MDBridge features here. 

How to use MDBridge Component

1. Goto Joomla in the Control Panel. Then goto Components >>> MDBbridge

 

2. Select Config Menu

 

3. Setting is divided into 2 parts: Basic and Advance

• Enable : To enable/disable it
• phpBB Path: phpBB path that we have prepared
• Version : the phpbb version
• phpbb Prefix: Table prefixes of phpBB. Can check from Config.php file of phpBB

 

4. Another section is Advance (Setting here only when the setting in databases of Joomla and phpBB is different) . Then, click Save&Close.

• Enable DB: To enable/disable using of the database
• Host: Host name of the database
• Username: Login name of the database
• Password : Password using in the database
• DB Name: Database Name
• Prefix: Table prefixes of phpBB. Can check from Config.php file of phpBB

 

5 Goto Extension >>> Plugin Manager

 

6. Enable these 2 Plugins

 

7. Then, goto Joomla in Front end. Login to test.

 

8.After logining, if you open Joomla/phpBB up, you will see that no more further login required. You can use phpBB by logging in Joomla system only.
